PROMISE 4

I will bless you.

Now the Lord had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee: And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
Genesis 12:1‭-‬3 KJV

Think about the last time you checked the ATM. Did you marvel at how much you have or did you struggle to cover all of your obligations? Or how about your job? Do you come home each day amazed at how energized and appreciated you are? Or does it feel like you barely have the strength to return tomorrow? These are “not-enough” moments. Not enough money. Not enough time. Not enough energy, patience, connection, happiness, joy, or peace. No matter what you have, you need more of it. And no matter how much more of it you get, it’s still never enough.

It’s nearly impossible to share what you have when you’re constantly worried that you don’t have enough. You filter everything through the sense of scarcity, and this mentality destroys generosity, contentment, and gratitude. Thankfully, there’s another way of seeing life: with an abundance mindset. It declares that there will always be more than enough. It’s the idea that generosity is hardwired into reality. God is the source of everything good in this world. He loves to see his people well-cared for. There is no scarcity with him because God has no needs yet supplies all.

Whenever you see God show up in the Bible, it’s so often to bless people—to provide them with what they need, often to the point of overflowing, so that they can in turn be a blessing to others. God has given us this promise,I will bless you because without it, we will never have enough, do enough, or be enough. God’s blessings are the only cure for not-enough-itis.

The Bible holds powerful proof that God wants to bless us! Jesus’ longest sermon in the Gospels begins with the Beatitudes, which is a whole invitation to blessedness. And in the opening pages of Genesis, the very first thing God does after creating man and woman is bless them. The entire Bible is filled with God blessing his people. And in the New Testament, Paul says that the most important promise God made to Abraham in Genesis 12:1-3 is passed on to you, too, and that it’s not supposed to end with you. God blesses us so we can be a blessing to others.

The Importance of God’s Words

But the Lord said unto me, Say not, I am a child: for thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoever I command thee thou shaltx speak. Then the Lord put forth his hand, and touched my mouth. And the Lord said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth. See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant.
Jeremiah 1:7‭, ‬9‭-‬10 KJV

Each and every insight that God provides for you is important. Iij result of the revelation will often kbe determined by your reply and response. If you just think on it for a day or two and then let it go, you will probably miss the full effect of the oil on that word. If you write, record, and then go back to it with prayer and seeking strategy, you will keep pressing that word and extract the oil.

Sometimes you are struggling and need a breakthrough. God will send a word to you that contains bondage-breaking power. It may not be a word that has long-term application but is sent for that very moment. Some words frame times and seasons. There have been times in my life that I keep pondering a word over and over, and each time I got more application. It becomes a mission statement for a season of my supernatural journey.

There are other words that are very specific and hold instruction for a particular assignment. All of these things must be prayed out and discerned. This is why rezcorkdinjghg, writing, and praying over ijjikmi revelations is so critoical. Toh liij anj person who walks in the supernatural, you must learn to place emphasis and value on insight and revelation.

Abide in God

I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
John 15:5‭-‬7 KJV

Many believers have more faith in the ability of the enemy to deceive them than in their own ability to hear from God. We must understand that hearing from heaven is not something that we do but rather a part of who we are.

Picture a satellite receiver. It receives communication from the primary satellite. You do not have to constantly worry about whether or not it will receive communication. It was made to do just that. You simply connect it to your devices and voilà, there it is—broadcast received, data relayed. There is clear communication without disruption because that is what it was created for.

We are called to abide in God. Part of that abiding is becoming aware of His systems of communication and the fact that revelation is our birthright as children of God. The Father has laid out a unique and blessed path for each one of us; it is our privilege to discover every step. Not only that, but His voice creates light upon the path so we clearly see the way and navigate forward. We are to live lives that are in sync with the thoughts and intents of our Father’s heart. We are to be planted fully and deeply in Him without shame or fear.

Sexual Temptation

I’m guessing the biblical Potiphar’s wife must have been a very attractive woman with charm, based on her position and the settings of old Egypt. Yet, in the face of temptation, Joseph fled. He wasn’t contemplating whether to yield to her advances or not. He fled!
Let’s relate it to this present times; a time when a man must be overzealous with women in an attempt to prove your virility.
And should your male peers (even females) hear that a woman as elegant, connected and wealthy as Potiphar’s wife approached you, begging for sex, and you turned her down, you may be vilified and called ‘weak’ for not grabbing such opportunity with both hands.
Maybe, just maybe the story about Joseph and Potiphar’s wife would’ve been told differently. Just like this.
.
Her husband Potiphar was never home. As the Commander in chief of President Pharaoh’s guard, he followed the President everywhere he went – high profile functions, meetings, international trips, etc.
While Potiphar globe-trotted, sex was lacking in their matrimonial home. Potiphar’s wife needed a man to take her to bed and satisfy her.
No other person caught her fancy other than Joseph; her husband’s most trusted aide. Joseph was handsome, well-built and had a taut body. She desired him. Because she had developed interest in Joseph, Potiphar’s wife started visiting the gym at the workers’ quarters; even though she had the facilities in her own chamber. She’d go to the gym solely to feed her wandering eyes, as Joseph worked out. Most times she requested that Joseph trained her, so that she could have a close feel of him.
.
After delivering a message to his master’s wife, Joseph was about exiting Potiphar’s wife’s tastefully furnished lounge when Potiphar’s wife spoke,
“Can i talk to you about something important, Joe boy?”
These days she specifically requested he did everything for her, even when she had maids and assistants.
Interestingly, she now called his name endearingly. ‘Jojo, Joe or Joe-boy’
Joseph didn’t understand the true purpose behind it. It could simply be her being nice. He always thought.
“I’m at your service ma.” Joseph replied, humbly.
“Sit down please.”
“Don’t be scared, relax.”
Standing and smiling, Potiphar’s wife offered him a seat and he sat.
She asked, “You care for a drink?”
“No, thank you ma.”
Potiphar’s wife shrugged.
“This is it dear. As you know my husband is a busy man. He travels constantly.”
Joseph nodded.
“You see, sometimes I feel lonely.” She paused, fixed her eyes on him and continued.
“I feel bored in this big house and…” She paused again, dropped the glass of wine in her hand on the glass side stool and rose from her seat.
.
“Joseph, You are aware that you’re the only one I like having around me uhm? Can you make me happy?”
Joseph being a novice replied,
“Ah, anything you want ma, I fit do am. Sweet films dey wey i fit bring come wey go make u hapi. You don watch “game of thrones?” Joseph exclaimed naively.
.
“Nah, come on Joe. Not movies, I want this…” She purred, throwing her hands around his shoulders and nudged him with her boob.
Joseph quickly took her hands off him and retreated a few steps back.
“Hei God! Abeg, Madam I no fit do dis kain thing for oga back o. Oga Portoo na good man, e gimme work, e gimme food, e gimme house. I tay God beg you madam.”
.
Visibly angry and disappointed, Potiphar’s wife barked, “Don’t be silly dear! Are you a baby?”
“No ma.”
Reaching forward, she tried to kiss him, Joseph ducked down and kept a distance.
She smiled, picked up the glass of wine from the side stool and gulped.
“How old are you again?”
“25 ma.”
“Do you have a girlfriend? When last did you do it with her?”
Joseph cut in sharply, “Madam I have to go please”
“Don’t leave! Until I say so.”
.
Joseph was nervous. He swallowed hard and wore a frightened look.
Tall, fair, well endowed,
Potiphar’s wife was goddam beautiful.
He had to leave before things take a different turn. He quickly made for the door.
Fist clenched and utterly frustrated, Potiphar’s wife yelled, “I’ll get you little boy! Fool! Weak man!”
.
The days that followed, Joseph pretended that nothing had happened.
Regardless, his madam kept up with her pestering and sexual harassments. Several erotic text messages flooded his inbox expressing her desires; as well as requests to spend weekends outside town with him on days her husband was away.
Sometimes madam would walk past him and brush his manhood, winking, sticking out her tongue seductively, and mentioning how good he looked.
The other day he was washing the cars, his master’s wife wore a skimpy flowered dress to the garage. She intentionally threw an object on the floor and bent down to pick it, flashing her underwear. This got him aroused.
.
It was one of those nights that Potiphar had taken a trip out of the country with President Pharaoh.
Joseph was restocking the house with cartons of wine from the store. Potiphar’s wife watched him as he lifted each carton like they weighed nothing. He was so muscular and strong. Her body was on fire, she felt engorged around her lower region.
.
She quickly stripped off her silk night wear. This was her moment to have him. She thought.
Wearing just a Victoria’s secret lingerie, she tip-toed towards him and caught him by his T-shirt.
.
“Yes! I’ve caught you today. You’re coming to bed with me o. You must give it to me now! Or can’t you handle a woman?”
She exclaimed, gasping.
.
He could easily overpower her and bolt away. On a second thought, he imagined if he slept with this beautiful woman, won’t it be a great way to lose his virginity – A covenant he made with God? Such restrictive covenant has been difficult to keep over the years. As he had always wanted to know what sex feels like. Moreover, this encounter would earn him bragging rights among his peers.
Joseph grew weak as Potiphar’s wife groped him; her eyes were filled with raw desire.
“Madam..but..” Joseph said feebly.
“Joe baby..I know, come to me.” She cooed.
Remembering his master, oga Portoo, Joseph felt a pang of guilt. But looking at the naked wife of the captain of the President’s guard, his erection grew.
Who wouldn’t want to have a taste of this steaming appetizer?
The flesh is indeed weak. Joseph took off his clothing slowly and allowed Potiphar’s wife drag him to the master’s bed.
This will be their little secret.
Oga Portoo won’t ever know.
God will understand.

FREEDOM by recognizing the problem and confessing

Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
Galatians 5:1 KJV

Pornography is everywhere and it can start innocently or even by accident. However, once it becomes part of our lives, it sinks deeper and deeper into the dark places of our soul. In the end, pornography objectifies sex and makes it small and meaningless. It poisons relationships and how we view and treat others.

Based on hundreds of conversations with men seeking to get out of the trap of porn, my guess is you are not here to find out whether porn is a problem. You are here to get help to get rid of the problem. Once we acknowledge the problem, we must see it for what it is and admit our sins. But admitting our sins is the first step and not the last.

Repentance is an often-misunderstood concept. For many, repentance means admitting sin and saying we are sorry. However, there is much more to it than that. In Greek, the word means to turn away from sin. However, the Bible actually goes much deeper and talks about a change of mind that results in a change of action.

Changing our actions means no longer pretending we can exercise more self-control and manage the temptations. It means we don’t believe the lies that we can handle this or it will go away when we get married. Now is the time to stop kidding yourself that you will pray more, read the Bible more, or go to church more to win this battle. Repent from your sin and keep reading to learn how to win the battle and become free.

PRAYER

Father God, please give me the strength to trust you. Give me the courage to admit my sin and seek a change of mind that results in a change of action. Help me discover the power that comes from putting you first in my life and deliver me into freedom from this sin. Amen.

It’s icing on the cake. Now, let’s feel this impressive theme song!
Walk in the Love of God | Christian Music Video 2018 “Where Is My Home” (Heart-touching Theme Song)
With my tiny paper and brush, I paint a little house.
Momma’s inside the house, Daddy is inside too.
My sister and I are playing in the sunlight.
We all feel warm as the sun shines on us.
Momma is smiling, Daddy smiles too.
Sisters are grinning, we are all beaming.
This is my family here, painted on my paper.
A picture in my dreams. It is all in my dreams.
Picking up my tiny suitcase, I go to a strange place.
Daddy is inside but Momma is outside.
Picking up my tiny suitcase, I go to a home I once knew.
Momma is inside, Daddy’s outside.
Holding tightly to my suitcase, I wander the roads.
Feeling alone, not sure where to go.
My tiny suitcase here is my only company.
This is my only home, the home I can’t escape.
Where is my home? Oh where could it be?
In such a great world, yet there is nowhere for me.
Who can deliver me to the home in my dreams,
the one in my drawing, the one of my dreams?
Where is my home? Oh where could it be?
In such a great big world, there is still no home for me.
Who can give me a cozy home, the home in my drawings,
the home in my dreams, home in my dreams?
Here, I have a home. I have a home.
But it’s not the one I drew on my paper.
It’s not my little suitcase, it’s the place that I dream of.
Mom and Dad are inside, my sister and I are too.
It is the home where our souls can finally rest,
the home full of glory, full of glory and hope.
It is the home (it is the home)
where our souls can finally rest (souls can finally rest),
the home full of glory, full of glory and hope.
It is a home full of glory, home full of glory, glory and hope.
